COVID-19

A Letter To Our Patients Regarding COVID-19

We want everyone to be aware of the protocol changes that are immediately taking place to keep everyone safe. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We are very excited to see you after two and a half months of the mandatory COVID-19 stay at home order. We are open and operating and have changed our hours to be more convenient. We now have two nights of evening appointments as well as two days of early morning appointments. We are also open the second Saturday of every month for those who cannot make it in during the week.We have spent countless hours training and researching the best ways to meet and exceed the CDC and OSHA guidelines in order to ensure that our patients and staff remain healthy.

Steps we are taking to protect you and ourselves from COVID-19

  • All staff will be screened for COVID-19 daily and their temperatures will be recorded at the start of each day
  • Sneeze guards have been installed at the reception desks
  • All patients will be asked to wait in their cars until ready to be seated in treatment rooms, call the office at 732-545-4465 upon your arrival and we will come get you when the treatment room is ready. Please come alone. Please do not have anyone accompany you unless you need assistance
  • For patients arriving by public transportation, the waiting room will be available and social distancing will be practiced
  • Please wear a mask upon entering. All patients are prescreened then required to fill out a questionnaire and have their temperatures taken upon arrival
  • All patients will pre-rinse with 1% hydrogen peroxide solution proven to kill coronavirus on contact
  • Multiple medical grade Hepa13 air filtration systems will be running in the treatment rooms, which effectively filter for viruses
  • There is hand sanitizer available that we will ask you to use upon entering the office and as needed during your visit and when you checkout
  • If you arrive at the office wearing gloves, we ask that you please discard them in the provided wastebasket upon entry. Replacements can be provided upon request
  • Our staff will all have N95 and level 3 surgical masks along with face shields which block up to 99.9% transmission
  • We are scheduling longer appointments with more procedures being completed in one visit to limit the amount of patients we see per day as well as reducing your number of visits
  • All instruments continue to be heat/pressure /steam autoclaved
  • Commonly touched areas are disinfected throughout the day
  • We mist and fog the treatment rooms with a disinfectant known to kill coronavirus between patients
  • Operatory chairs, lights, and handles continue to be wiped down with high level disinfectant that kills bacteria and viruses within one minute.

We are very excited to be back and ready to take care of your dental needs! We look forward to seeing each and every one of you and are available and happy to answer any questions you may have regarding the measures we are taking to keep our patients and our team safe. We will be reaching out to patients to schedule appointments that were missed during our closure and encourage you to reach out to us as well at 732-545-4465. Thank you for your patience and your flexibility during this time and for your trust in our ability to serve your dental needs.

We look forward to seeing you soon,

Dr Anna Pollatos and her amazing team
